Private Equity firms are the ones that gather the funds and sources in different ways, like, gathering them from institutional investors, often from high-net-worth individuals, even from pension funds, and a few other ways, and then invest them into new or already established businesses. But why? Well, to make them grow even more, sometimes taking some stakes in these businesses and even full ownerships at times. Though, do not think that they are more similar to venture capital, nah, Private Equity firms are actually interested in more mature and already established businesses. They are also taking the majority stake in these companies and therefore making decisions.

Like, ever since 2009, they have invested $11 billion and intend to double it right here in the country!  They are fond of putting their money in communication, medicine, and technology. That would be to, you know, find companies that are already doing well and help them become even bigger.

For now, though, they manage about $5 billion worth of assets, but most of their money is in IT, money, and pharma. Fairly recently, you see, ChrysCapital invested in HCL Technologies, Infosys, and Mphasis when they were small. And sure enough, with the rise of IT and fintech, ChrysCapital is going to keep winning.
